Hello fellow stitchers and welcome to one of my favorite months of the year, May! I hope this newsletter finds you doing well and enjoying your Spring so far. Speaking of this newsletter, I have decided to try something a little different this time around so let me know what you think. Starting with this months newsletter I will now be placing them on my store website as well. In the future you can access any of the past newsletters on the site at any time by simply going to the newsletter heading found on the store's website, clicking on it and then selecting which edition to pull up. Also, while you are letting me know what you think of this change to the newsletter I would also like to hear your thoughts on another store matter. I have been considering expanding to another line of needlecraft to offer at my store. So I am curious....if you were not cross stitching what other type of needlecraft would you be doing, if any at all? Would it be maybe Knitting? Crochet? Quilting? Or something else completly different? Either way would you mind taking a moment out of your very busy day to drop me a line and let me know about this and the newsletter? I want to make Wasatch Needlecraft the best needlecraft store possible for my great customers! There are a couple of pieces of business to get to before I post the new releases. First off it is true, there will be another Mystery Sampler Club (Halloween/Fall based) this summer. This year it will be from Lizzie Kate. While I don't have details yet rest assured I will be doing an autoship for this series. I will post details as soon as they are available. There are also a few limited edition items that are almost gone so make sure you get them before they are gone forever. For example, I only have a few of the Praiseworthy Simple Gifts Heart kits left and only a few of the Lizzie Kate Birdz and Bugs kits are remaining as well. While we are on the topic of Limited Editions I have a new one for you. These are going quickly so make sure you get yours today! I was able to see the Strawberry Pint in Nashville and they are wonderful. This is a hand painted box from Kelmscott in Canada and it includes some embellishements along complete instructions. I just love the releases from Threedles. Seeing them in three different colorways is so cool! It is hard to believe sometimes that they are the same design. It just shows what you can do with your own combination of colors. Her new piece is called Sands in Time and does not disappoint. We have two new pieces from Trenner Needlework. Both include the wood pieces needed to complete the designs. First we have Primer which is a nice 8" x 11" piece. Then we have Heritage Hornbook where both colorway options are given. Or better yet choose your own where the options are endless! Plum Street has released two new small samplers and let me ask you how great these would be framed and hanging next to each other?! We have Pretty Pleasures and By My Love. Hodgepodge Cottage has such cute items and these three new releases are the same. We have two Pincushion/Fob sets, Warm Heart Welcome and Lucky Home. And then a little something for you cat lovers we have Cat and Mouse. It is hard to believe that the original stitcher of this sampler was only 8 years old, such talent! This is from Black Branch and is called Mary Utley 1837. Acorn House has three new releases and I wanted to specifically mention the Dogwood Sewing Set. This set comes with an incredible Dogwood button (only available with the chart) that you don't want to miss. Also from Acorn House is the Frienship and Love set which uses the new needle minder from Kelmscott (see below) and also Stubborn Bunnies. There is no doubting how popular the Island Cottage Where My Heart Is release was at Nashville. So I am sure that this one will be the same. We have another great heart. This one titled Spring Heart Hop. Nikyscreation has done it again with two great new releases. We have Spring Thread Winders and Primitive Workbasket. As I mentioned above Kelmscott has a new needle minder out called VB's Friendship Claddagh and is set on a dark green background. Also from Kelmscott we have 13 colors of Storklette 2.5" scissors. So there should be no problem matching the color to your next project. I have not carried Whispered by the Wind releases for a while and am glad to have them back. We have Dutch Rose and Butterfly Bush.

Last but not least we have a great new piece from Wendy KC Designs and being a Hardanger lover I NEED this piece! This is Pink Pin Cushion. Just a reminder that the Overstock Sale items are still an additional 30% off (while supplies last). So make sure you check those out as well. Thank you again for any time you take in responding back to me about the newsletter changes as well as your stitching preferences or just to say hi. I always loving hearing from you. It is one of the best perks of this job. But maybe that is just because I have the best customers any store owner could ever ask for :). Karen |
